Dr. Zeborah Massenburg is a native of Richmond, Virginia. Born to Overseer Zachary L. Taylor and the late Co-Pastor Valerie P. Taylor. She is the middle sibling to an older brother and younger sister and in later years blessed with two bonus sisters. Zeborah was educated in the Henrico County School System, graduating from Varina High School in 1997. After high school graduation she further pursued her education in music at Virginia State University and Virginia Commonwealth University. After going through several changes in her college career, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix in the year 2019. In October of 2023, she received a Doctorate of Administration from Empowerment Theological Institute & Bible Seminary. During the time she used to obtain her degree, Zeborah followed a career in banking and for the state and government in procurement. She ran several businesses in teaching piano, vocal training, document designing, website building and jewelry making. In 2004 and 2006, she along with her singing group Sacred, produced two contemporary gospel albums.
Pastor Zeborah married her middle school sweetheart, Bishop Samuel Massenburg, Jr., at the age of 25 and together they have one beautiful daughter. As they both were raised in the church, at the age of 19 they began their work together in ministry in her parent’s church, Word of Life Full Gospel Ministries. Zeborah started in ministry at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church under the pastorate of Bishop Robert E. Williams Sr., where at a tender age, her singing gift was cultivated. Through her middle school years, Zeborah's musical talents were further cultivated through piano lessons, school choirs and school orchestra where she played the viola. At the age of 12, her father began his first pastorate at Bethany Baptist Church in Sandston, VA, where Zeborah obtained her first church musician position. At the age of 18, her father started his first church, Word of Life Full Gospel Ministries, where Zeborah has served as the Minister of Music, Overseer of Ministering Arts (dance, drama, and music) and media and Director of Public Relations at Word of Life. And now, she and her husband pastor together at Temple of Deliverance RVA, established in 2022.
Zeborah grew up in the church and at the age of seven, decided to give her life to Christ. Her earliest remembrance of knowing that God had called her was in 1997, at the same time she received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. She was 18 years old at the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Conference, where she knew in her heart that God called her into ministry. While at the altar, engulfed in an atmosphere of worship, God impressed on her heart that He had a special use for her in ministry that would include more than just being a church musician. At that time, she accepted God’s will for her life and whatever He wanted to do. It was at that time she chose not to have a will but rather depended on God’s will for her life.
At a young age, Zeborah had the gift of spiritual insight through dreams and visions. As she grew older, her gift also grew, and she stepped into her call as a prophetess. She received two certificates for completing Prophetic Training in 2002 and Advanced Training in 2003 from the School of Prophetic Ministry at Gateway Ministries in Richmond, Virginia. In 2003, she was recognized and licensed Prophetess at Word of Life Full Gospel Ministries. She was licensed to preach the Gospel in 2006 and later ordained by an ordination council as Elder in 2012.
Zeborah has a passion for music and a heart for the children of God. She has had the privilege to encourage young women to live holy before the Lord on different platforms. She carries her mother’s legacy to help young women live as elegant and successful women of God. She aspires to encourage people and to uplift them to see themselves as God sees them; fearfully and wonderfully made...God's creation.
